Assistant Professor Ravi Vatrapu appointed to the board of International Society of the Learning Sciences

CAICT Assistant Professor Ravi Vatrapu has been appointed for a 3-year term to the board of the International Society of the Learning Sciences (ISLS). Dr. Vatrapu will serve the ISLS community as technology infrastructure subcommittee chair.

The sub-committee on the Technology Infrastructure is charged with designing and overseeing the operation of the technologies that underlie the membership registration and community interactions, the conference registration, and other society activities that involve the use of technology. This includes investigating technology options and presenting proposals to the board for approval and adoption. It also includes contact and oversight over outsourced sub-contractors, and paid employees that implement or maintain these technologies. As committee chair, Dr. Vatrapu's role is to recruit members to the committee, set annual or ongoing target activities for the committee and oversee their execution.
