Research Centre on Biotech Business co-hosts the arrangement on Aug. 21, announced in the attached flyer

Recent results from the Centre is presented, examining the role played by large pharmaceutical firms in the emergence and development of new biotech firms. We present new findings on pharmaceutical firms as a source of spinout of Scandinavian biotech firms, and on the effects on Sweden’s biopharmaceutical sector of the virtual disappearance of Pharmacia, one of the two flagships in its pharmaceutical industry.
The afternoon program also presents recent results from CBS Professor Morten Bennedsen on the effects of differentiated shares on the competitiveness of European firms, and from Professor Christian Wickmann Matthisen of Copenhagen University on the importance of biopharmaceutical clusters in the Øresund Region.
