Confucius Institute opens at CBS
20 November 2007 a contract was signed between CBS and The Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) about the establishment of Copenhagen Business Confucius Institute at CBS. The contract was signed by the Chinese ambassador Xie Hangsheng and CBS president Finn Junge-Jensen.
The Confucius Institute is a coorporation between Hanban, that is part of the Chinese ministery of education and CBS in Denmark. The Chinese partner offers a free teacher and USD 100.000 assitance for establishment and CBS offers office space and secretariate.
Associate Professor Verner Worm from the Asia Research Center is the director of the Confucius Institute.
