The field of public relations is a practical one, and experts say that it is key to the industry’s success. The discipline includes elements from stakeholder management, corporate social responsibility and corporate communication, which all work strategically with the legitimacy and reputation of the business.
The overall picture
Håndbog i strategisk public relations (handbook on strategic public relations) gives an overview of subjects such as crisis communication, investor relations and issues management. The book focuses on the individual stakeholders and particular problems. The handbook is especially directed at the many new communication and PR programmes, and it has been edited by Associate Professor Henrik Merkelsen from the Department of International Culture and Communication Studies.
