CBS Case Competition: an academic contest
Now students from all the Danish higher educational institutions get the chance to compete with the participants in CBS Case Competition. By signing up for Beat the Elite , you can get this year’s case sent directly to you and see if you are able to beat the students from business schools all over the world that have come to participate in the contest at CBS in week 9.
Real – not just realistic
CBS Case Competition is a competition for students at selected business schools from all over the world. The focus is on a current company case, which the student-driven organisation behind the competition organises so that it is as realistic as possible. Thereby, the students get the chance to see the challenges, which will be part of everyday life once they have a job and their diploma.
Warm-up: management and tobacco sales
This week, we offer a number of academic events leading up to the presentation of this year's case: 'Danmark – Denmark'.
How to manage a business in times of global crisis? Is there a need for a charismatic leader to front the organisation, or is a more neutral leader a better solution when things are looking bleak? On Tuesday, those issues were presented to the students when Christian Stadil, CEO of Hummel, and PWC Partner Henrik Axelsen discussed management in times of crisis.
On Wednesday, we will take a look at one of the world's most restricted industries when Thomas Baer, Head of Brands for Northern Europe of British American Tobacco is going to explain how to market a product that is heavily regulated.
