Tivoli to become the new London
08.03.2010
The winning CBS Case Competition case solution
Maastricht University came up with the best idea at the CBS Case Competition finals on Tivoli’s strategy and new ventures. The winning team suggested that Tivoli be open all year and start competing with London.
Last week, elite students from business schools all over the world competed against each other. The aim was to deliver the best business plan for optimising Tivoli earnings. The students from Maastricht University recommended that Tivoli focus on world-known performances such as Disney's Lion King, Cirque de Soleil and Blue Moon Group. It should also be open all year instead of having seasonal opening hours.
Jury members among Danish corporate elite
15 top executives from the Danish corporate sector named Maastricht University the winner of CBS Case Competition 2010. Among those were some of the Danish corporate sector’s most prominent people such as Jess Søderberg, Lars Nørby Johansen and Kenneth Plummer. Since the launch of the competition in 2002, the corporate sector has supported the concept – financially, professionally and by donating time. CBS Case Competition is regarded as one of the world’s best competitions for business students.
