WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services)

WRDS is a gateway to financial, accounting, banking, economics, management, and marketing data accessible through a single web-based interface. Data is retrieved from multiple resources (databases and data set) such as COMPUSTAT, CRSP and OptionMetrics.
Notice that CBS doesn’t have access to all the WRDS resources.
WRDS is not a trading platform like e.g. Bloomberg but contains data dedicated to the research within the mentioned domains.
Access for CBS students and staff only see how to register under "Hints".

How to become a registred user:
Only CBS students and CBS staff have access to the WRDS resources.
Go to WRDS homepage
Fill out the account request form by selecting “Register”:
  • ”Institution”: choose Copenhagen Business School
  • "Account Type”: as a student choose Masters Student
  • Fill out your name, e-mail address (it has to be a CBS e-mail), username etc.
  • ”Faculty First Name” and ”Faculty Last Name”: write the name of the professor, who is your supervisor or contact person (Notice: it’s very important that you fill in these fields)
  • Before you complete your registration, you must agree WRDS '"Terms of Use".
  • Within a couple of days you’ll receive a confirmation of your account request.
