Watch out Paris - here we come again!

It has become a tradition for CBS students to take part in a sports tournament in Paris every spring. This year our students will compete in Eurocup 2009 at Sciences Po University in Paris during the second weekend in May. This event is not only about friendly sports competition and having a good time with teammates. It is also a great opportunity to meet new people from other universities throughout Europe and get new friends, visit one of the oldest capitals in Europe and have a time to remember.
International team
CBS Sport will be represented by 105 people, one fourth of which will be international students studying in Denmark. This is more than twice the number of people who were in Paris last year on behalf of our business school. Going on a tournament like this is one of the incentives for students to exercise, stay in shape throughout the study year and be a part of CBS Sport.
This year teams from various universities will compete in Paris for trophies in football, rugby, basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis and fencing.
Girls from CBS will play football, volleyball, basketball, handball and tennis. CBS guys will contest in the same sports and rugby, but will skip handball this year.
Successful record
Our teams have a track record of successful performance in the past that should continue this year. CBS Sport event co-ordinator Nicolai Sønderskov says: "Last year we brought home two trophies and we are expecting to win four prizes this year. Each year we have more and more CBS students who are travelling to Paris. With more than 100 contestants this year we should achieve this goal."
Networking is no less important than sports in this event. There will be many other activities for all contestants like concerts, live dance, dinner and a big party on Saturday night to end the whole tournament. This all creates an interactive weekend with lots of fun and action.
"Students are looking forward to having a good time in Paris. It is a great chance to meet new people both from CBS and foreign universities and expand your network. We are grateful that support from the Diversity Fund at CBS has given us the opportunity to participate again this year," adds Nicolai.
