A game of three halves

In the busy life of a business student it can at times be hard to combine studies, socialising and keeping your body somewhat intact throughout it all. To achieve this, IB has started its own football team so IB students can get to know each other better and get a bit of exercise.
Practice takes place a modest once a week at the football club B93 in the northern part of Copenhagen. Here the stars of I.B93, as the team has been named, get together to prepare for the weekly Sunday match against local teams in the Copenhagen area. The team is currently playing in series 5, but manager Johan Lawaetz predicts a fast rise to fame and fortune for his football team.
The third half
Besides practice and matches the team holds evening “meetings” where teammates get together to discuss tactics and upcoming opponents over a drink and good food. According to Johan Lawaetz “It is important that they function well together not only as football players but also as individuals if we want to win matches.” And as dedicated as his players are they do their best to get along off, as well as on, the pitch.
The team currently has 23 players from Denmark, Norway and Brazil, but is always on the look out for new talent.
