Study all over the world from Copenhagen

So you chose an international programme at CBS but you are longing for more? Then take the opportunity to go abroad!

IB students are offered the chance to go on exchange in their third year and there are currently more than 350 partner universities. Whether you are imagining yourself studying at a traditional university with history, looking forward to surfing in your free time, getting an electric kick from the buzz in a metropolitan city or would rather experience a siesta in a cosy city, the choice is yours.
Vibrant or cosy?
Popular places among CBS students include big cities such as London, Paris, New York, Tokyo Sydney and Hong Kong; hip centres of cultural happenings such as Barcelona, Berlin, Glasgow and Buenos Aires; exotic destinations like Singapore, Tel Aviv, Santiago and Cape Town; great outdoor cities such as Sydney and Los Angeles and cities rich in student life such as Edinburgh, Bath, Rotterdam, Granada and Boston.
All preparations you need to do before you go are explained in a tiny colourful book with the suitable Dickens-inspired title "Great expectations", which you can get at the International Office. Even though the paper work that needs to be done before actually being allowed to go is quite extensive, it is not extremely hard to do and completely worth the effort. As Jenny Tzakova, a final year IB student who choose to study in picturesque Edinburgh points out: " It is a lot to do, but if you focus your thoughts on your final destination it will all work out smoothly and the CBS administration is helpful, as long as you are there on time!"
A Scottish adventure
Jenny spent her year in Edinburgh, Scotland. "Describing this experience would require photographs and music in addition to words in order to fully illustrate the feelings and impressions from the beginning to the end of my time there. Arriving with your bag on a rainy night in a sinister- looking Edinburgh, not knowing a single soul and not having anywhere to live and then finding your way, slowly building a wonderful life on your own gives you a satisfaction that is priceless.
"Making a foreign city your own gives you an incredible sense of freedom - that you can do anything and that everything is possible. Also getting to know such truly great people from all over the world as I did it is a reason enough to go. You will be amazed how different perspectives it can give you. I have never heard of anyone who regretted going, rather the opposite. You will regret it if you don't go.
