Professor Frank McDonald from The University of Bradford was the latest guest lecturer to visit the International Business programme.
Professor McDonald, who is Director of the Bradford Centre in International Business, lectured third year International Business students on the International Business Strategy course on the strategy of multinational companies in emerging economies.
A new paradigm
"The rules of the game have changed," he said. "No country or industry can ignore globalization and its consequences. Just look at the current financial crisis that has hit the entire world in just a few months".
A good impression of the IB students
It was the second time Professor McDonald has been a guest lecturer in International Business Strategy and he was impressed with the International Business students. "Usually I don't give lectures to undergraduate students, but I know that the International Business program has very high entry requirements, and the students seem to have a high academic level".
Professor McDonald was also impressed with the level of involvement of the International Business students and commented: "The International Business students here at CBS are always well prepared, and I am always asked many interesting questions. I believe that the openness and curiosity shown by the students here are very important for their success in the business world".
The program director of the BSc in International Business, Jens Gammelgaard was pleased with Professor McDonald's visit and he believes that guest lecturers can give the students new perspectives "It is very important for our program to have guest lecturers from outside the CBS. They can give the students some new perspectives, and that is very important in our international study environment"
