This programme focuses on interactions between businesses, national and international political institutions, and non-governmental organisations,
using theories and methods from business studies, economics, political science and international political economy

The programme qualifies you for a career in global or internationally oriented companies, institutions and organisations within either the private or the public sector.
With globalisation, relationships between business, governments, international institutions and other actors such as NGOs are becoming increasingly important.
The programme equips you with essential skills for analysing these relationships by combining:
• Knowledge of business, economics, political science and international political economy
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Knowledge of major national and international institutions and actors in the area of business and politics
• An understanding of broad patterns of development in the global political economy from a historical perspective.
The world is continuously changing. Economic crises are high on the international
agenda, not to mention climate change and the rise of new powerful economies
such as China and India. To prepare for these changes, you will study how business and governments cooperate and compete to shape responses to such developments. This programme combines a strong theoretical and methodological foundation with a focus on current affairs.
