BSc in Business, Language and Culture

The BSc in Business, Language and Culture takes an innovative approach in that it combines business economics with other key disciplines including cultural and societal analysis, area and language studies, and interdisciplinary research methods.
This multifaceted approach enables you to critically analyse modern business practices and problems as well as to understand the global dynamics that shape companies and organisations.
Key BLC strengths include:
• Project work
Throughout the three years you will write many projects such as essays, exam papers and one major project at the end of the first and third year. The projects develop your problem solving and teamwork skills, and allow you to go into depth with issues you find interesting. Furthermore, the first year project serves as first-class practice for writing your bachelor project.
• Presentation experience
Throughout the degree you will be required to present certain topics in class to your fellow students. This method of teaching and learning enhances your understanding of the particular topic, and improves your presentation skills – an important strength to possess in your future studies and career.
• Area studies
The area studies segment of the BLC, namely, British and American Studies, and your choice of either French, German or Spanish language and Area studies is another unique strength of BLC students. If you want to work in an international company either in Denmark or abroad, the understanding of cultural differences and the ability to communicate in your second chosen language will set you apart from students with other degrees.
