Bachelor Admission

Below you will find the alternative documentation CBS accepts, if you need to prove the sufficient level of Chinese, German, French, Japanese or Spanish to fulfil language requirements for a bachelor programme at CBS. Concerning language levels in other EU/EEA countries, CBS refers to the  Danish Agency for International Education - as the website is mostly in Danish only, you are welcome to contact the Student Guidance Service or the Admissions Office for help, if you do not speak Danish. Please note that CBS must have documentation for fulfilling the language requirement by 5 July 12 noon.
Chinese at Beginner's Level A (begyndersprog A):
For language equivalence within EU/EEA, please see Danish Agency for International Education .The following tests/exams are accepted instead of Chinese Beginner's Level A:
*Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi - "HSK" Level III or higher
The test is held worldwide, including Denmark. For information on the test, please see: HSK Chinese Test.
Also, a full upper secondary education done in Chinese in a Chinese-speaking country is sufficient to meet the minimum requirements in Chinese.
French at Beginner's Level A/Intermediate Level B (begyndersprog A/fortsættersprog B):
For language equivalence within EU/EEA, please see Danish Agency for International Education . The following tests/exams are accepted instead of French Beginner's Level A/Intermediate Level B:
  • DELF B2 - Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française B2 - passed
  • DALF C1 - Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française C1 - passed
  • DALF C2 - Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française C2 - passed.
In Copenhagen you can take the test at the Institut Francais de Copenhague . Worldwide the test can be taken in more than 150 countries, see: http://www.ciep.fr/
Also, a full upper secondary education done in French in a French-speaking country is sufficient to meet the minimum requirements in French.
German at Beginner's Level A/Intermediate Level B (begyndersprog A/fortsættersprog B):
For language equivalence within EU/EEA, please see Danish Agency for International Education . The following tests/exams are accepted instead of German Beginner's Level A/Intermediate Level B:
*Goethe-Zertificat B2 - passed
*Goethe-Zertificat C1 - passed
*Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung - passed
*Kleines Deutschen Sprachdiplom - passed.
You can take the tests at the Goethe Institute in Copenhagen . Please see: www.goethe.de for further information.
Also, a full upper secondary education done in German in a German-speaking country is sufficient to meet the minimum requirements in German.
Japanese at Beginner's Level A (begyndersprog A):
For language equivalency within EU/EEA, please see Danish Agency for International Education . The following tests/exams are accepted instead of Japanese at Beginner's Level A:
*Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Nihongo noryoku shiken) - N4 passed
*Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Nihongo noryoku shiken) - N3 passed
*Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Nihongo noryoku shiken) - N2 passed
*Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Nihongo noryoku shiken) - N1 passed
The Japanese Language Proficiency Test is maintained by the Japan Foundation and held worldwide, including CBS, please see www.jlpt.jp
Also, a full upper secondary education done in Japan is sufficient to meet the minimum requirements in Japanese.
Spanish at Beginner's Level A (begyndersprog A):
For language equivalency within EU/EEA, please see Danish Agency for International Education .The following tests/exams are accepted instead of Spanish Beginner's Level A:
*Diploma de Español B2 (Nivel Intermedio) - passed
*Diploma de Español C2 (Nivel Superior) - passed.
See: www.dele.org for further information. In Copenhagen you can take the test at Section Cultural, at the Spanish Embassy (det spanske kulturinstitut). Worldwide the test can be taken in more than 60 countries.
Also, a full upper secondary education done in Spanish in a Spanish-speaking country is sufficient to meet the minimum requirements in Spanish.
