BSc in Business Administration and Sociology

Organisations are central in most activities in today’s society: The production of goods and services are organised in private companies, in industries and in international networks; the political control over society is heavily dependent on administrative organisations; social benefits are supplied by a number of public organisations; and non-governmental organisations (NGO’s) play an increasingly significant role in the shaping of society.

Become an Organisation Analyst

In the Business Administration and Sociology programme, you develop an understanding of how companies and other organisations are organised, of their core business, and of how their activities are interlinked with the surrounding society – in an ever more globalised world.
Besides developing an understanding of the economic and organisational processes in an organisation, you develop practical skills that can be used when designing research projects, collecting data and analysing organisations. This unique combination gives you the qualifications to aid the further development of a given organisation and to foresee and create solutions to the challenges that modern organisations face.

Be among the first in Europe

CBS is the only institution in Scandinavia to offer a bachelor degree combining business and sociology – let alone one taught in English. And it is probably the first degree in Europe to offer an interdisciplinary approach to these two interlinked fields of study.

Choose an international learning environment

International students are an integral part of this study programme. The aim is to train graduates intending to work in the global network society since there is an increasing demand for people with these skills. Therefore, focus is on creating an international learning environment on the basis of the student composition, the curriculum, the syllabi, and the international faculty involved in the teaching of the programme,
