BSc in Business Administration and Service Management
The BSc in Business Administration and Service Management combines business economic disciplines with:
- The tourism and hospitality industry
- Cultural institutions and attractions
- Leisure and sports organisations
- The travel and transport industry.
You will develop knowledge, skills and understanding of the strategic and economics potential of businesses, institutions and organisations within the four areas on which the programme concentrates.
The disciplines are integrated by applying established economic and business financial models to the analysis of various trade issues.
Economic theory and methods is covered in the courses Macroeconomics, Neoclassical Consumption Theory and Economic Psychology, Managerial Economics and Methods I, II and III.
Business theory is covered in the courses Management Control Systems, Financial Accounting, Service Marketing, Strategy and Management of Human and Financial Resources, Organisational Behaviour and Business and Society.
Specialisations are provided in the courses Service Economics, Tourism and Hospitality, Logistics and Transportation, Management of Creative Processes and Cultural Economics and Politics.
Elective Courses offered by CBS or other universities/business schools.
The programme is structured in ‘quarters’, meaning that each course is concentrated in half a semester and only shares time with one parallel course, i.e. you enroll in four courses per semester. The examinations are either written or project examinations, where students in groups analyse a case, write a report and defend the project in an oral examination.
