Bachelor Admission
English at Level A:
English at Danish level A is required for all programmes in English as well as for some programmes in Danish.
If you have not passed English A as part of your Danish upper secondary education, you may do it as "
GS Gymnasial Supplering
" or as "HF enkeltfag". Please note that it is NOT possible to do a supplementary course in English during the summer.
The following English tests/exams are accepted in stead of English level A:
*IELTS academic test result of at least 6.5
*Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English passed
*Certificate of Advanced English (Cambridge) passed with A or B
*TOEFL iBT test result of at least 91
*TOEFL paper-based test result of at least 577
*A complete bachelor degree done in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore,South Africa, UK or the US.
*A complete upper secondary education done in English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, UK or the US.
*Certain upper secondary educations in EU/EEA: see
English A Equivalency in EU/EEA.

Please note that documentation for fulfilling the English requirement must be at CBS Admissions Office by 5 July, 12 noon.
English at Level B:English at a Danish level B is required for some programmes in Danish.

*TOEFL paper-based test result of at least 550
*TOEFL iBT test result of at least 80
*IELTS (academic) test result of at least 6.0
*Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English passed
*Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English passed
*A complete bachelor degree done in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, UK or the US.
*A complete upper secondary education done in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, UK or the US.
*Certain upper secondary educations in EU/EEA:
English B. Please note that we do not accept any other documentation than mentioned in the list. If you do not fulfil the English requirement according to the list, you are to do an English test.

IELTS – International English Language Testing System: IELTS is organised by the British Council all over the world. CBS only accepts IELTS acadmic test results. CBS accepts both original test results sent direct from the British Council and copies (copies will be checked with the British Council). See

. Please note that you must ask for the result to be sent to CBS's Institutional Code 7035, as we do NOT accept copies of test results. Please note that a TOEFL test may not be more than two years old at the time of applying.
