Applicants with an international degree

Bachelor Admission

You are to apply in Quota 3, if:
  • You apply for an English programme, AND
  • You do not have a Danish upper secondary education, AND
  • You are not an EU or EEA citizen, AND
  • You need a student residence permit to study in Denmark.
You can read more about Application fee here: Application fee .
You can read more about Tuition fee here: Tuition fee .
If you have an international (non-Danish) upper secondary diploma, and the above mentioned information regarding Quota 3 does not apply to you, the admission process for applicants with an international (non-Danish) upper secondary diploma depends on, whether your upper secondary education is directly comparable to a Danish upper secondary education:
  • "International Baccalaureate" (IB), "Dansk/Fransk Baccalauréat" (DFB), "European Baccalauréat" (EB) and "Option Internationale du Baccalauréat" (OIB) are international upper secondary educations, which are directly comparable to a Danish upper secondary education. If you have one of these diplomas, you are to apply no later than 15 of March, and your application will be assessed both in Quota 1 and Quota 2.
  • If it is possible to make a direct conversion of the GPA from the international diploma, it is directly comparable to a Danish upper secondary education. If you have a directly comparable diploma, you are to apply no later than 15 of March, and your application will be assessed both in Quota 1 and Quota 2. Most upper secondary educations done in an EU or EEA country are directly comparable to a Danish upper secondary education.
  • If it is NOT possible to make a direct conversion of the GPA from the international diploma, it is NOT directly comparable to a Danish upper secondary education. If your upper secondary is not directly comparable to a Danish upper secondary education, you are to apply no later than 15 of March and your application will be assessed under Exemptees. Upper secondary educations done outside EU/EEA are normaly NOT directly comparable to a Danish upper secondary education.
On the Danish Agency for International Education website you can find out, whether your international diploma is directly comparable to a Danish upper secondary education or not.
Danish Agency for International Education is the national agency under the Danish Ministry of Education, which supports the internationalisation of education and training in Denmark and provides information on education in Denmark.
