Second Year Focus

Second Year Focus

In the second year, the courses build on the foundation set in the first year courses, and each quarter assignment involves more than one academic field, developing interdisciplinary approaches to information management. In the fifth quarter, the quarter assignment is dedicated to Computer-mediated communication and collaboration as well as Information in Context; in the sixth quarter to Organisation, innovation and Systems Design together with Project Management; and in the seventh quarter focus is on Information Management and Organisational Change together with Corporate Communication - gradually building up a more holistic view on the complex challenges of information management.

Project

The overall theme of the second year project is: Information and knowledge in Organisations. The relevant content is defined through all the six course modules of the second year. Each group selects three out of the six course modules for their project, in order to further the investigation of their specific research problem. Students are encouraged to select the three course modules that they find most relevant and interesting, given their task and research problem.
