BA in Information Management

The BA in Information Management provides you with expertise to manage information effectively by drawing on analytical skills developed from a number of different fields. The programme builds on a wide range of competencies within organisation theory, information systems and communication studies and prepares you for a career in a rapidly changing global business environment.

The programme combines expertise in management of information, communication and knowledge with organisation studies, information technology and professional communicative skills in English.
Cooperation with Companies
Parts of the programme are designed in cooperation with national and international companies. This gives you a variety of opportunities for hands-on work, real-life case studies and internships.
Over the course of the programme, you will be prepared to:
• Develop information design to support organisational processes
• Build information architecture for business purposes
• Analyse and evaluate how communication and information processes can be optimised
• Develop communication plans and strategies
• Manage projects
• Communicate professionally in English.

The programme is quite new, which means that you will actively participate in shaping the social and academic environment. You will also have plenty of opportunitiesto meet students from other programmes during the introduction week, at academic conferences and a variety of social activities. The programme is structured in quarters. Each quarter has a specific theme, an activity involving an organisation, and a compulsory quarter assignment.
