Explore the challenges multinational corporations face
Multinational corporations face similar strategic and organisational problems as purely domestic firms, however, with important differences. Some relate to the reasons why the firm became multinational, others relate to the challenges managers face in their interaction with employees and customers from different cultures as well as their choice of strategies, structures and processes in different national contexts and competitive environments.
Focus is on organisational economics
At the core of virtually all our courses is organisational economics including agency theory, transaction costs theory and property rights theory. This approach is supplemented with behavioural theories, industrial organisation theory and theories of management control. You will explore issues related to competitive strategy, corporate strategy, internationalisation process, internal organisation and organisation of relations to major external stakeholders such as buyers and suppliers.
An ambitious study
During your studies, you will acquire a substantial theoretical background as well as skills in qualitative and quantitative methods that will enable you to work at top management level in multinational companies.
