Analyst, consultant or manager
This means that there are a broad range of career options for the candidate whether that is as an analyst, consultant or as a manager in the line organisation where for example procurement, logistics and distribution are functions that often are included in SCM. Supply chain managers are used in production and service organisations, wholesale and trade firms, retailers and transport companies as well as in logistics service providers; in other words wherever there is a need to organise and coordinate material-, information- and workflows internally and externally. Consultancies, small and large firms make use of supply chain managers as do private and public organisations alike.
