Master of Social Science Degree in Business Economics and Management

On the first and second semester you attend a fixed block of concentration specific and methodology courses. The semesters make up a coherent, progressive sequence. This obligatory foundation ensures that you build up a qualification profile that is common for all students on the line.
On the third semester you attend electives. It is especially through the electives that you create your own individual profile. You can put your electives together based on many different criteria. For example by choosing courses in progression that expand first year’s academic themes - maybe from new academic approaches. Or choose to create a coherent knowledge within a new academic area.

Electives

You can either choose from the many courses at CBS graduate programmes or attend business economic courses at other Danish or international universities. If you want to study abroad at one of CBS’ many partner universities, you can do it during the third semester.

Master’s thesis

Fourth semester is set aside for your master’s thesis, in which you must demonstrate an ability to independently describe, analyse and work up a complex academic problem on a high scientific and academic level within the line’s area. The programme and the concentration's content and structure are laid down by the study board in the degree guide.
