MSocSc in Service Management

Service Management is a master’s programme at an international level. It has been developed in close cooperation with corporations in the service sector as well as with well-known universities abroad. It was introduced at CBS in 2009.
The programme provides the necessary competences and skills to manage service companies and organisations in a global context and allows students to focus on either trade, tourism and hotel management, travel and transportation or meetings and events.
Through projects and exams students achieve new insight and specialisation in the before-mentioned areas. Students will receive a solid grounding in business, economics and social sciences in services and knowledge of real-life business challenges and opportunities.

Meeting the needs of society
In the Western world, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reflects the increased role of service production in the world economy. Today, 75-80 % of the Western world’s production comes from services. It has been predicted that the service sector and service production will expand further.
The courses
The courses along with their subjects are depicted below. The courses take place in quarters of a duration of six weeks, and each course has a maximum of 30 lessons. In order to incorporate lecturers from businesses and experts from abroad, some of the lessons might take place during one or two weekends a quarter.
