Graduate Admission Entry Requirements
All the concentrations/programmes done in English require English at Danish level A, except for the MSc in Business Administration and Information Systems and the MSc in Bioentrepreneurship, which require English at Danish level B. Please consult the table at the bottom of the page for an overview.
The English requirements are very strict, which means that ONLY alternative fulfilment listed below is accepted.
If you do not fulfil the English requirements at the time of applying, you have until study start to document fulfilment. In other words, you are welcome to apply without fulfilling the English requirement, but you MUST fulfil the requirements as listed on this page before starting at a programme.
NB: If you are studying at a Danish bachelor programme at CBS, we do not have the documentation you handed together with your KOT application for bachelor studies, and if required, you are to hand it in again.

English at Level A:
The following English tests/exams are accepted in stead of English level A:
- IELTS academic test result of at least 6.5
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English passed
- Certificate of Advanced English passed with A or B
- TOEFL iBT test result of at least 91
- TOEFL paper-based test result of at least 577
- A complete bachelor degree done in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore,South Africa, UK or the US.
- A complete upper secondary education done in English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, UK or the US.
- Certain upper secondary educations from EU/EEA countries: see English A Equivalency in EU/EEA.
- Certain direct qualifying bachelor degrees done in English in Denmark: all bachelor programmes in English at CBS; BA(int.) at SDU; Negot IF studied with English at SDU; HA(int.) IF studied with English fully at ASB/AU.

English at Level B:
English at a Danish level B is required for the MSc in Business Administration & Information Systems and the MSc in Bioentrepreneurship.
The following English tests/exams are accepted instead of English level B:
- IELTS (academic) test result of at least 6.0
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English passed
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English passed
- TOEFL paper-based test result of at least 550
- TOEFL iBT test result of at least 80
- A complete bachelor degree done in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, UK or the US.
- A complete upper secondary education done in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, UK or the US.
The qualifications listed in the table below fulfill the English B requirement for applicants from certain EU/EEA countries and applicants with an International Baccaluareate. For English B equivalency in other countries within EU/EEA , please see: Danish Agency for International Education
. Remember to attach documentation from your upper secondary education with the number of hours and course content for courses that you think can fulfil the English B requirement.

IELTS - International English Language Testing System: IELTS is organised by British Council all over the world. CBS only accepts IELTS academic test results. CBS accepts only original test results sent directly from the British Council. See IELTS

TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language: You can either take this test at CBS or elsewhere in the world. You will find information on the TOEFL test offered at CBS here
