MSocSc in Human Resource Management
Taught in Danish
MA of HRM is a new degree that is directed at Social Science bachelors, who would like a graduate study programme that is more directed towards practical and strategic work with the human resources of a business.
The programme reflects that jobs within Human Resource Management are not only focused on management of business economics, but they are also based on psychology, law and sociology.
Human being, organisation and business
MA of HRM focuses on the strategic role of human resources in private and public companies. You will be analysing, how employees, managers, jobs and social communities function together in an organisation.
Important subjects are: attracting and keeping key employees, job design, career and management development, employment law and incentives. The subject area is particularly focused on organisational theory, but also on sociology, economics, psychology, pedagogy, conditions in the work place, law, etc.
Mixing different professions
The inherent interdisciplinary focus of this degree makes it ideal for students of varying backgrounds, because they get to utilise their varying professional ballast. The combining of classes with HRM students from the MSc programme (in Economics and Business Administration) further enhances this perspective.
You learn to get a general business perspective, understanding the organisation of the business as well as its decision-making systems.
