MSc in International Business & Politics
Applicants for the MSc in International Business & Politics (cand.merc.(pol.)) are divided into two groups: applicants with a direct qualifying degree and applicants without a direct qualifying degree.
Applicants With a Direct Qualifying Degree:
The BSc in International Business & Politics from CBS and the BSc in Business Administration and Sociology from CBS are direct qualifying to the MSc in International Business & Politics.
Applicants Without a Direct Qualifying Degree:
You are qualified for (but not guaranteed) admission to the MSc in International Business & Politics, if you:
A) fultil the general entry requirement, and
B) fulfil the language requirement, and
C) fulfil the specific entry requirements.
A) The general entry requirements is an academic bachelor degree within the social sciences; applicants, who do not hold an academic bachelor degree within the social sciences, will be individually assessed. For further information, please see

7.5 ECTS-points in Micro Economics and/or Macro Economics

15 ECTS-points in Political Science and/or Political Theory

7.5 ECTS-points in Business Administration in general

Selection Criteria:
From 2010 the number of places for the MSc in International Business & Politics is limited to 120.
If there are more applicants fulfilling the entry requirements (i.e. qualified applicants) than places available, a selection among qualified applicants will take place.
1) 60 places are reserved for applicants with a BSc in International Business & Politics or a BSc in Business Administration and Sociology from CBS graduating the same year as applying for admission. This group is ensured admission.
2) 10 places are reserved for qualified non-EU/EEA applicants in need of a student residence permit.
3) 50 places are reserved for all other qualified applicants.
If any of the groups has a surplus of places, these places will be transfered to the other groups.
The selection process is based on an overall assessment of the educational background of applicants (at undergraduate/bachelor level), primarily taking extensive and in-depth knowledge of both business administration and politics into consideration.
