Structure

MSc in Economics & Business Administration

The content of each specialisation varies considerably. Identical for all of the lines, however, is that they are built upon a shared basic structure.
During your first and second semester you will follow a block of core line-specific courses as well as a methods course. The first year constitutes a coherent, progressive sequence. The number of courses, types of teaching, exams, types of exams etc. varies from each line.
In your third semester you take electives. You can choose from either the many courses offered by CBS Graduate School or take business economics courses at other Danish or foreign universities.
If you decide to participate in an exchange programme with one of CBS’ many partner universities, you can choose to do so during your third semester.
Your fourth semester is set aside for writing your Master’s thesis, which must be written within the line’s overall area of specialisation. Here you must demonstrate your ability to independently write, analyse and treat a complex academic issue at a highly professional and scientific level.
