The IBS concentration introduces you to a series of analytical tools and gives an understanding of the international business environment. This enables you to provide solutions to issues of importance for international corporations on operational and strategic levels.
The focus is on understanding and conducting business in an international context. By combining statistics and qualitative research methods with applied knowledge of macroeconomic, political, cultural and financial issues, you will learn to examine the strategic choices that international and
multinational corporations have to make in order to compete in the global economy.
Among other things, you will learn and discuss how corporations can analyse competitors, navigate through policies and regulations, take advantage of the global financial markets and face the complexities of entering emerging markets.
Career Opportunities
The IBS concentration does not lead to specific job titles or functional areas, which leaves room for you to decide in which area your skills should be applied. The core competences of graduates are the ability to research, analyse and strategise in an international context. This makes you employable in a broad range of areas from finance and industry to IT, consulting and general management.
