Communication studies focuses on companies’ and organisations’ strategical communication. Students acquire high communicative skills in writing and speech, analytical skills within discourse theory, as well as superior knowledge of integrated organisational communication.
The objective is to enable students to identify discourses and strategies, as well as examine and evaluate the impact of discourses in different socio-cultural contexts. In order to achieve an overall understanding of the organisation's communication, the study form consists of theoretical and analytical approaches as well as case-based approaches. In addition, you will learn how to analyse oral communication between individuals (conversation) and groups (meetings) with a clear focus on professional genres such as negotiations and interviews.
