Elements of the CEMS MIM

CEMS Block Seminar

Professors from various CEMS universities gather at one place to teach a one week seminar, typically at the start of term 1, to a group of students from different CEMS universities.

CEMS Business Project

A CEMS business project is a hands-on learning experience in a multicultural context. The focus is on a real-life business case, jointly tutored by a company and a professor, and the project results are evaluated by both the academic and the corporate supervisor.

CEMS Skill Seminars

CEMS skill seminars give you the essential soft skills to work effectively in the business world. Typical seminars cover topics such as communication, teamwork and presentation. At CBS, CEMS Corporate Partners play an active role in offering and designing skill seminars for our students.

Languages and communication

Foreign language proficiency is essential for international managers. CEMS graduates are expected to be proficient in two foreign languages for communication in business and mangement. For more information on possible language combinations, please see Entry Requirements.

Academic term abroad

You must spend an academic term at one of the other 24 CEMS universities. It is customary to go abroad in the first CEMS semester (3rd semester at cand.merc./cand.merc.int.). For information on CEMS schools, please visit www.cems.org

Internship

The CEMS internship turns academic experience and theoretical knowledge into professional experience within a multicultural context. The internship lasts a minimum of 10 weeks and must be taken abroad. You are evaluated during the internship period.

CEMS Annual Events

The CEMS Career Forum is exclusive to CEMS corporate partners and students. It takes place in November and is hosted by Corvinus University of Budapest. CEMS students are invited to submit a CV and application before the Career Forum, and the participating CEMS corporate partners select students for interviews. This is a unique opportunity for students to meet the CEMS corporate partners and vice versa.
The CEMS Graduation Ceremony takes place once a year in late November/early December and is hosted in turn by the CEMS partner universities.
