Documentation

Graduate Admission Group B

On this page you will find information about which type of documentation you need to upload, when applying as a Group B applicant.
  • You must upload all relevant documentation for your application to Admission Flow, in .pdf format, by 1 March at 12.00 (noon) at the latest.
  • We base our assessment of your application exclusively on the documentation received by the deadline. If the relevant documentation is missing or incomplete, this can result into a possible rejection.
  • Find out what documentation you must upload from the list below.
Appraisal
If CBS Admissions Office has already made an appraisal of your educational background, you are to bring this to our attention, either by writing a note in Admission Flow or by uploading a scanned copy of your appraisal letter.
Grade transcript
* You must upload an official grade transcript, issued by your university. A home-made list of the courses you have taken is not sufficient documentation for your application.
* It is important that ECTS-points (alternatively, credits, points, number of hours etc.) for ALL the courses you have taken are clearly listed on the uploaded grade transcript.
* The grade transcript must include obligatory courses, as well as electives (including electives taken abroad).
* If you have not yet finished your degree, you must upload a preliminary grade transcript, as well as a list of all the courses you still need to take in order to finish your degree.
*Include a translation if the grade transcript is not issued in English or in a Scandinavian language.
Bachelor diploma
* If you have already finished your bachelor degree, you must upload a copy of it.
* If you have not yet finished your degree, you are to upload a grade transcript as well as a list of courses to be done - see above. You may be accepted on condition that you finish your undergraduate degree before study start; remember that you MUST upload your final bachelor diploma (and grade transcript) in order to be fully accepted.
Documentation for the language requirement
You may apply even if you do not yet fulfil the English or Danish language requirement. The requirement must, however, be fulfilled before study start.
* If you take a TOEFL test (even if it's at CBS), you MUST ask the TOEFL institution to send the scores directly to CBS. Our institutional code is 7035.
* If you take an IELTS test, you MUST ask IELTS to send the scores directly to CBS Admissions Office.
Supplementary courses taken outside CBS (i.e. courses that are not part of your bachelor degree)
* If you are taking supplementary courses, you must upload a proof of registration which must include the courses’ codes, complete titles and ECTS-points/credits load.
* If you are planning on taking supplementary courses (but have not yet necessarily registered for these courses), you must provide us with detailed information, including the courses’ codes, complete titles and ECTS-points/credits load.
* If you have already passed supplementary courses, you must upload a grade transcript.
Supplementary courses taken at CBS (i.e. courses that are not part of your bachelor degree)
* If you are taking supplementary courses at CBS, you MUST upload a proof of registration.
* If you are planning on taking supplementary courses at CBS (but have not yet necessarily registered for these courses), you must indicate to us which courses you intend to take, by providing the courses’ codes and complete titles.
* If you have already passed supplementary courses at CBS, you must inform us about this.
* You do not need to upload your final grades for courses taken at CBS – we will check your results ourselves.
Course descriptions, project descriptions and bachelor thesis
* You must upload course descriptions for courses with titles that do not clearly indicate which topics they deal with and therefore which entry requirements they can cover, i.e. ”Business Administration”, ”Introduction to Management”, ”Business and Economics”, etc.
* You do not need to upload course descriptions if the course titles clearly indicate which topics they deal with, i.e. ”Microeconomics”, ”Human Resource Management”, ”Accounting”, etc.
* You do not need to upload course descriptions for courses taken at CBS.
* If you want us to use project work or your bachelor thesis in the assessment, you must upload the following information, taken from the project report or thesis: the table of contents, the abstract, research question and problem justification as well as the bibliography of the paper.
Self-assessment
You may include, in a separate document, your own suggestions regarding which specific entry requirements your courses can cover.
Motivational essay - ONLY for applicants without an academic bachelor degree within the social sciences
The motivational essay plays a very important part in the evaluation of applicants without an academic bachelor degree within the social sciences. Remember to upload a motivational essay of no more than two pages if applying as an exemptee. Please read more about Exemptees.
