Number three in the world after Harvard Business School and London Business School
Each year, Eduniversal, which is part of the French consultancy SMBG, ranks the world’s 1,000 best business schools. Like last year, CBS got an excellent ranking this year – number three in the world after Harvard and London Business Schools.
This is the top 10 of business schools:
1. Harvard Business School, the US
2. London Business School, the UK
3. Copenhagen Business School, Denmark
4. MIT – Sloan School of Management, the US
5. McGill University – Desaultes Faculty of Management, Canada
6. Erasmus University – Rotterdam School of Management, the Netherlands
7. INSEAD Europe Campus, France
8. ESADE Business School, Spain
8. HSE – Helsinki School of Economics, Finland
10. Stanford University Graduate School of Business, the US
The focus of the ranking is on the educational institutions’ international significance and prestige.
Recommended by business school presidents
1,000 deans and business school presidents from more than 150 countries have been asked to recommend a number of business schools. In addition, a scientific committee has awarded each institution with ‘palms’ according to the estimated, international significance of the individual business school.
As the only Danish institution, CBS has been awarded the maximum of five palms, which characterises a ”Universal Business School”, and it has been recommended by 640 deans and business school presidents.
CBS therefore qualified for second place in Western Europe. That means that CBS has switched places with London Business School, which has been ranked first out of the 256 institutions in the region.
