Teaching Methods

The MPA students arrive with many years of work and management experience, and we emphasise drawing on these experiences in the class. Therefore, we use:
  • Lectures,
  • Dialogue-based lectures
  • Mini-plena
  • Workshops
  • Group and project work.
A tutor programme for the group work as well as two-person groups are regular parts of the MPA programme.

Instruction form
Instruction varies between traditional lectures by both associate professors and guest lecturers as well as dialogue-based instruction. The dialogue-based teaching is formed around the two-teacher principle, where two teachers collaborate to create a broad professional space with room for focus.
Sparring partners
We have an arrangement for sparring partners for those students who desire it. This means that the individual student is assigned a more experienced person – typically in their own organisation – who can function as their sparring partner throughout the MPA course.
