The programme takes place over four semesters and consists of five modules. Modules one, two and three can be studied separately. Module four is taught throughout all four semesters and, therefore, cannot be studied separately. Module five is the master’s thesis.

Modules One-Three cover the areas of information and language technology:
- Text Production and Publishing (Module One)
The aim of this module is to give the participants a thorough knowledge of the current standards, methods and technologies for text production and publishing, and to exploit these with regard to standardisation and quality management of the company's digital communication, particularly web communication.
- Term and Knowledge Bases (Module Two)
The purpose of this module is to provide participants with a thorough knowledge of the methods and technologies of terminology work, and to enable them to use these with regard to standardisation and quality management of the company's mono- and multilingual terminology. At the same time, one develops the qualifications for gathering, managing, storing, disseminating and sharing knowledge across different languages, cultures and disciplines.
- Translation Technology (Module Three)
The aim of this module is to provide participants with a solid knowledge of methods and techniques in advanced translation technology, enabling them to use this technology efficiently in connection with the standardisation and quality management of the translation tasks in the company.

- Quality Management of the Company's Document Production (Module Four)
The aim of this interdisciplinary course is to introduce students to the interplay between production, organisation and business.
Module five consists of writing your master’s thesis. The theis involves involves aspects of all of the recurring themes of the previous modules. Participation in Module five thus requires having completed the first four modules. Moreover, Module five includes a project management course directed especially at projects involving language content.
In total, the four semesters correspond to one year of full-time study (60 ECTS = 1800 working hours). That means the work load for each semester is 450 hours.
