Integrated Strategy Project

Action Learning

Classroom Scene

The final part of the MBA comprises an Integrated Strategy Project (ISP), which is a four-month period of hands-on experience with a real company, where theory is put to practice.
Participants are stretched to apply all the knowledge they’ve acquired during the Business Essentials and Elective Modules . They are guided by experienced and demanding advisors and must live up to the rigorous academic requirements established by CBS.
Participants are divided into small groups and assigned a company where in some cases they are asked to:
  • Determine Viable Future Competitive Direction for a business (Strategy Development)
  • Address identified Strategic Issues confronting a company’s management (Threats, Opportunities, Initiatives etc.)
These strategic interventions can be highly rewarding for both students and the client company, as they provide new insights and develop new creative strategic approaches.

Strategic Framework for Hewlett-Packard

"On the one hand, this experience has been extremely valuable in learning to create a synergy amongst ourselves as a performing team; while on the other hand our efforts will produce a strategy analysis document, bringing to light issues and initiatives that are worthwhile for HP to consider in attaining their goal.”
Maryam Kazemieh (FTMBA Class of 2010 - 2011)

Hewlett-Packard Denmark is among an illustrious list of international companies that have participated in the ISP in recent years. Participants from the FTMBA Class of 2010 - 2011 have been tasked with a strategic framework for increasing the company’s market share in Denmark.
