The new class of full-time MBA Students at CBS represents diversity at its best. Here 20 participants nations meet and learn together in order to innovate the business of tomorrow.
What does a country do when it can lift the burden of executive training for its talented leaders?
You send them abroad and give them a MBA education to bring back home. This is what Kezang Dorji from Buhtan has been given an opportunity to experience.
There are 20 nations represented in this year’s MBA class and thanks to the cooperation between Udenrigsministeriet/Danida Fellowship Centre (UM/DFC) and CBS has a range of countries been given the opportunity to offer their talented leaders a MBA in Denmark
“We are very happy that we through the cooperation with UM/DFC, that we are able to attract such fine talent like Kezang. He comes from a very different culture and represents in many ways an alternative ways of thinking about business. It will become very interesting to see how Kezang and the rest of the MBA class will develop throughout the year.” Says professor Torben Juul Andersen, Associate Dean at the Full-time MBA .
He believes that it is a positive challenge having so much diversity in the class.
“It represents an opportunity for the participants as well as professors to see things in a different perspective. It is a fact that we live in a globalised world and this is an advantage for our students – Danes as well as foreigners – to learn from each other. It simply increases their ability to think new thoughts and innovate” he continues.
The cooperation between UM/DFC and CBS has existed since 2009 and have given business professionals an opportunity that they would otherwise have missed.
Typically participants are arriving from countries that would otherwise not be able to lift the educational burden, but needs to grow business talent in order to develop.
