Prospective students for the CBS International Summer University Program (ISUP) are placed into different categories – the information for each category can vary considerably, so please make sure that you choose the correct section.

International students

Nominated Exchange student – Students who have been nominated to participate in ISUP by one of CBS' Partner Universities from outside of the European Union/EFTA or the UK.
Students from a European partner university – Students from one of CBS' Partner Universities within the European Union/EFTA with a pre-approval of credit transfer for their course selection (to be enclosed with your application) except the UK.
European Freemover (fee paying student) – Students and professionals with citizenship of an EU/EFTA country who cannot document that they will receive credit transfer at one of CBS' Partner Universities. EU/EFTA citizens taking ISUP courses as supplementary courses in order to fulfill the admission requirements for a Master's Program at CBS fall under this category as well.
Non-European Freemover (fee paying student) – Students and professionals from outside the EU/EEA who have not been nominated to participate in the program by one of CBS' Partner Universities

CBS Students

Elective (valgfag) students - Students taking a pre-approved elective course at ISUP.
Credit transfer student - Students taking obligatory course (obligatorisk fag).
Open University student (Vacant Place System/fee paying tomplads) – Students who will NOT receive credit for the ISUP courses they wish to take

Danish Students

Credit Transfer student (merit) – Students from CBS and other Danish universities with a study board approval of CREDIT TRANSFER
Open University student (Vacant Place System/fee paying tomplads) – Students and professionals with Danish citizenship or a permanent residence permit for Denmark or a temporary residence permit with the posibility of achieving a permanent residence permit who will NOT receive credit for the ISUP courses they wish to take
