Jamila Khan
My name is Jamila. I am from Germany and I am enrolled in the MSc in Management of Creative Business Processes programme.
Before coming to Copenhagen, I studied Business Administration in Hamburg, Germany. I applied to CBS because it has a good international reputation, and I wanted to get an experience abroad. Also, students from within the EU do not have to pay tuition fees to attend CBS.
CBS has a unique mix in terms of programmes and courses. It has a very international environment with its many students and professors from abroad. Everything is well organized and it is easy to find your way around campus.
I live in Frederiksberg near the university with two German friends. Before we arrived we searched the Internet for a place to live and we came here for a weekend before the courses started, in order to check out the flat. Actually, the procedure to get an apartment here is not so bureaucratic.
Through a friend’s advice I was able to find a part-time job working 15 hours a week at British American Tobacco.
In my spare time I do many things including: studying Danish at a local language center, kick boxing, exploring the city, and going out with my new friends. Copenhagen is a diverse place with many different neighborhoods and opportunities-you can go shopping and partying, plus you can easily reach the sea.
I hope to hear from you!
