If you are a student who does NOT attend a CBS partner university and wants to study for a short period at a non-degree basis at CBS, you can only apply to come to CBS as a Freemover.
Students coming from a university with which CBS has an exchange agreement will only be admitted under that agreement (i.e. upon nomination by their home university). Therefore, students from CBS' partners are not accepted as FreeMovers. We also allow exchange students from the University of Copenhagen to enroll in a maximum of two courses from CBS as a FreeMover.
Please be aware that the Danish government has passed new legislation that requires anyone coming to CBS outside of a partner agreement to pay tuition fees.
The fees for non-European nationals are as follows:
- Bachelor (Arts or Science): EUR 9,500 per year
- Master of Arts: EUR 11,000 per year
- Master of Science: EUR 12,500 per year.
The fees for European nationals are as follows:
- Undergraduate courses (Bachelor of Arts or Science): The price for an elective of 7.5 ETCS credits on undergraduate level is DKK 1,750,- meaning a price of DKK 234,- per ETCS.
- Graduate courses (Master of Arts or Science): The price for an elective of 7.5 ETCS credits on graduate level is DKK 3,500,-, meaning a price of DKK 467,- per ETCS. Except electives under MSc in Business Administration and Computer Science. These are DKK 5,200,- for an elective of 7.5 ECTS.
Copenhagen Business School is unable to offer financial support or scholarships to international students. You will need to guarantee your own source of funding.
In the case of too many applications for participation in any particular course, priority will be given to students studying at CBS on an exchange basis, as these students generate exchange places for CBS students at their home universities.
Don't fit the above-mentioned definitions of FreeMover or exchange student?
If you want to take a course or two at CBS but are neither an exchange student nor a FreeMover, contact the
CBS Electives Secretariat about taking a course as a Credit Student enrolled at another Danish university or as student applying under the Vacant Place System:
