CBS Academic Development

CBS Academic Development works with the pedagogical development of lecturers at CBS. Academic Development is responsible for the following activities:

CBS' assistant professor programme.
CBS Academic Development is responsible for the provision of  CBS' assistant professor programme  . The programme is mandatory for assistant professors employed by CBS and offered to Postdocs with at least 500 hours of university teaching during their Postdoc period. CBS’ assistant professor programme is also offered to assistant professors from other universities.    

Pedagogical courses.
CBS Academic Development offers a number of university pedagogical courses (link) that primarily deal with a number of different teaching practices commonly used in the courses offered by CBS. The courses are organised within five areas:

1.       General university pedagogical courses

2.       Use of information technology in the teaching

3.       Case-based teaching

4.       Internationalisation, including Multicultural Classroom   

5.       Language courses

 

Personal support for the lecturers at CBS.
CBS Academic Development offers to help establish support for academic staff who are experiencing problems with their teaching.

 

The organisation of CBS Academic Development:

CBS Academic Development is a loosely coupled organisation with few permanent and several loosely affiliated employees.
