The main building at Copenhagen Business School is at Solbjerg Plads, and it has a floor space of 34,000 sqm. The building was designed by the architectural company Vilhelm Lauritzen AS.
Solbjerg Plads consists of a large building, which is intersected by three traverse buildings. The entrance to the main building faces Solbjerg Plads. There are three integral buildings, which consist of a cafeteria, a library and a lecture hall. The areas between the buildings are covered by a glass ceiling - a roofed corridor, which is emphasised by the way it pulls the outdoor light into the foyer and the Student Hall.
From the foyer you will have a nice view of the Student Hall. The length of the hall is visually decreased by the staircases and lifts, which are situated in sections combining the different departments.
The Student Hall can be described as the school's central nerve; series of rooms with many different opportunities. There are rooms of different sizes connected to the Student Hall, which provide the rooms with a high degree of application flexibility and ensures activity among the students.
The building is based on comb structure. It provides the room with a great surface and possibility to see the daylight. The building consists of three types of buildings: concrete buildings in three storys, glass facade buildings in five storeys, and shade tile-covered buildings in six storys. There are connected by the glass facade, which covers the foyer and Student Hall.
The Learning Resource Center, a digital library with reading rooms in three storeys, is located in the Northern wing. The four-storey library works as CBS' internal library and as a public special library. The cafeteria is located in the same wing in the round building with entrance from the foyer. It is divided into three storeys, of which the ground floor functions as a café and work space for the students.
