The conversion of CBS' building at Howitzvej 60 began in September 2004. Today the building has been converted into a modern and contemporary powerhouse for IT research and education.

As a part of the development of one of CBS' strategic focus areas - Informatics and Computer Science - the renovation and conversion of Howitzvej 60 has provided an entirely new scope for the facilities and activities at the Department of Informatics.

Directly neighbouring Solbjerg campus, the renovated premises have a new, transparent glass facade, integrating it visually with the new campus building. The outdoor areas are landscaped in a harmonious interplay with the rest of the campus.

The renovation project was designed by the architectural company of Boje Lundgaard & Lene Tranberg. That very architechtural company had also designed the reconstruction of the campus area.
