In order to accommodate the steady growth in research and education activities and in order to bring all CBS activities closer together at Frederiksberg, "The Wedge" was built at Solbjerg Campus. “The Wedge" has a floor space of 10,000 m2 and is located on the part of the campus facing Nordre Fasanvej. CBS took over some of the buildings formerly belonging to the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory, on the area bordering Frederiksberg Park. The renovated buildings add 20,000 m2 to the premises at CBS’ disposal.

CBS acquired the building at Howitzvej 11 as a solution to the shortage of space following the expiry of the lease on Julius Thomsens Plads. During the summer of 2003, the Law Department moved to Howitzvej 11 and was later joined by the Center for Business Development and Management Technology. When the construction of “The Wedge” terminated, and the buildings at the old porcelain factory site were ready for occupation, CBS terminated leases on Bernhard Bangs Allé, Grundtvigsvej and Blågårdsgade.

CBS is now concentrated in three locations: Solbjerg Plads, Dalgas Have and the new Porcelænshave. With all CBS’ activities located centrally in Frederiksberg, all departments are easily accessible by the Metro linking Dalgas Have with Solbjerg Plads Campus, and the walking distance between the departments has become more convenient.

CBS is becoming an even more distinctive focal point in Frederiksberg. The vision is to create a more fruitful interaction between CBS and the new urban heart of Frederiksberg, which includes the Metro, Frederiksberg shopping centre, the upper secondary school and local library. The campus architecture and landscape complement the surroundings and are a general advantage for the district.
