Course content, structure and teachingThis course is designed to develop both oral and written English skills. Students will work on developing a broader vocabulary base and strengthening their business language skills to function more efficiently in English, both academically and in the workplace.

Seminar style teaching with interactive class discussions and peer critique. There will be case study presentations which will allow students to practise their oral skills and develop the necessary competence for dialogues in an English business environment.
ExaminationFinal exam: 4-hour written exam, computer based (closed book).
The examination will comprise one detailed grammar question, two textual analyses and a case study. The two textual analyses will focus on text comprehension and the ability to summarise and critique. The case study will be a summary of a business problem with recommendations presented as a business report. Special attention will be paid to coherence, clarity of thought, a clearly structured presentation and strong argumentation.
Re-take exam: 24-hour written exam.
