Dyrehaven is a big forest close to Copenhagen – very popular with nature lovers, on foot, bike or horseback. The forest covers more than 1000 hectares and is home to a lot of deer. It is a very old forest and a lot of the trees date back to the 1760’s. A great place to go for a Sunday walk with all the other Danes.

Frederiksborg Castle was built in the 16th century and the Palace Garden was founded in 1725. It was used as a residence for the Royal, and it's location made it great for hunting. In 1878 a museum was founded, and it is today regarded as a national monument of great historical importance..

Kronborg Castle is one of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe. Every year, several hundred thousand tourists visit this magnificent Castle at the entrance to the Sound. The many foreign guests mainly associate Kronborg with Shakespeare's drama about Hamlet, Prince of Denmark. For Danish visitors, the Castle is a national and historic monument. On 30 November 2000, Kronborg was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List.

Roskilde is located about 35 minutes from Copenhagen. Roskilde was founded around 990 by the Vikings, and was actually the capital of Denmark for a period of time. This means that Roskilde is very rich of culture and history. Roskilde has a beautiful cathedral, where a lot of kings are buried. Roskilde is also very proud of its Viking museum where you can see the remains of 4 Viking ships dating back to the 8th century. You can also board copies of Viking ships.
