The Danes love music and we have a very varied music scene. During the summer Copenhagen is primarily focused on jazz. The Copenhagen Jazz Festival runs from 2 July to 11 July and features artists from all over the world in more than 700 concerts.
There are hundreds of big and small music venues in Copenhagen and the surrounding area, but here are a selected few.

Mojo is a blues place, said the American pianist and blues legend Champion Jack Dupree, when he entered Mojo in the beginning of the 80’s. The stage is small, and contact with the audience is intimate.

La Fontaine is legendary among the Jazz places in Copenhagen, and loved for its nocturnal jam-sessions. The bar can be categorized as sneaky, and it is possible to spend an entire evening in obscurity listening to jazz and drinking beers instead of sleeping. All instruments can be heard loud and clear.

Copenhagen Jazzhouse is a combined music venue and cafe. As for the music genre, jazz, and the variety of sub-genres; world music, funk-jazz, fusion, freejazz, neobop and modern, Jazzhouse takes the lead among all the venues in Copenhagen. Live-events on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Vega is a club stage where both Danish and international bands perform, and the concert hall accommodates 500 people. A well-equipped foyer bar is part of the establishment, which emanates a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Pumpehuset - Ultra Live! The venue has its very own design in primal scream, and it is one of the most diligent live music organizers. The type of music is predominantly the more recent kinds of rhymical music: Mostly rock and pop, but also their subgenres and a range of electronica. The sound is good, and there is room for 600 people.
