Application Process

All prospective exchange students are nominated by their home university, which is also one of CBS' partner universities. After your nomination has been sent to CBS, you will be sent an information package by post. All forms are listed under the links below.

Exchange Students - Application deadlines

Autumn Semester:

  • The Autumn Course Catalogues will be available online by 1 May
  • Deadline for receipt of Choice of Courses From is 22 May
  • Deadline for all other documents is 1 June.

Forms may be faxed to +45 3815 3825 or sent by email attachment to either undergrad@cbs.dk or grad@cbs.dk, according to your level of studies.


Spring Semester:

  • Spring Course Catalogues 2011 will be online by 1 November.
  • Deadline for the choice of courses is 15 November
  • Deadline for all other forms is 1 November.

The following must be included:

  • Registration Form
  • Your CV/resumé in English
  • 1 passport size photograph
  • Copy of your passport (photo page)
  • Copy of your most recent transcript.
  • Scores from one of the following English proficiency test scores are required (see only exceptions listed in number 8 below) for non-native English speakers:
    1. TOEFL: 577 (PBT) or 91 (iBT) or above OR
    NOTE that the requirement for the internship course is higher: 600 (PBT) or 100 (iBT) or above OR
    2. CPE (Certifcate of Proficiency in English) (Level C2) OR
    3. CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) (Level C1) OR
    4. IELTS: 6.5 or above OR.

    NOTE: TOEIC: this test is no longer accepted after Spring 2010. In addition to the above-mentioned alternative to the TOEFL, there are several others found at this link: English Proficiency Alternatives . Please note that other proficiency tests are not recognized by CBS.

  • The following conditions are the only exceptions to the above requirements for proof of English proficiency:

    1. Scandinavian students
    2. Students with English as a mother tongue
    3. Students that have completed, or are undertaking, a university degree taught entirely in EnglisH
    4. CEMS students
    5. Language students, if the language is English
    6. Students from the French-speaking part of Canada
    7. Double degree students
    8. Students wil verbal GMAT/GRE verbal scores over 577/35, respectively.
