Copenhagen MBA ranked one of the best international full-time MBAs in the world by Bloomberg Business Week

The Copenhagen MBA has been awarded place 28 in Bloomberg Business Week’s International Full-time MBA Ranking 2015, released on 20 October 2015. The ranking, which has recently been revamped, assesses the MBA programme’s ability to provide graduates with a well-paid and satisfying job post-graduation.

“We are very pleased to make these influential rankings,” says Poul Hedegaard, CBS MBA director. “We frequently travel to the Americas region to meet prospective students and alongside our AACSB accreditation, this is yet another quality stamp which is well recognised in the American market, serving to further underline the value of the Copenhagen MBA.”

The two most influential elements of the ranking are the employer and alumni parts. MBA recruiters were asked how well the skillset of their MBA hires match their needs, whereas the alumni survey asked for feedback from three MBA chapters on their careers, their compensation change over time, and their mid-career job satisfaction.

Claire Hewitson, CBS MBA career services manager, comments:
“Through our career services, which run alongside the academic curriculum, we aim to serve the needs of both the MBA participants and potential employers. We work hard to expose students to opportunities that match their unique skillset. It is very rewarding to receive confirmation from our MBA recruiters that we succeed in this area and that our MBAs are able to bring such high satisfaction to their employers.”

Bloomberg compiled data from more than 13,150 current students, 18,540 alumni, and 1,460 recruiters across 177 distinct business school programmes. The 2015 ranking is made up of five parts:  employer - which influences 35% of the total rank -, alumni (30% of total rank), student (15%), job placement rate (10) and starting salary (10%). Bloomberg Business Week has been compiling MBA rankings since 1988.
