Learning Approach
The teaching in the MBA classroom includes the use of cases, guest speakers, simulations as well as workshops. Students are expected to prepare for each class in advance by following the required as well as optional readings.
The cases are used both as a mechanism for you to exercise tools of analysis and as a motivation for discussing key issues. You are expected to take on the role of an active decision-maker within the case and to focus on specific questions.
The key requirement for the in-class portion of this course is active participation. This participation is expected to be based on the thorough preparation of the assignments. Good preparation will increase the amount you get out of class and the amount your fellow students get out of listening to you.
Assessment of performance for each course will vary, but in general it includes class participation, take home assignments as well as written/oral examinations.
